The Reverend Dr. Nathan C. Walker is a Unitarian Universalist minister whose preaching has received international attention.
Walker’s sermons and research on religious freedom as a fundamental human right were presented at the Human Rights Commission of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. His sermon on the intersection of religion and politics became the basis for a book he co-edited with Edwin J. Greenlee, Whose God Rules? Is the United States a Secular Nation or a Theolegal Democracy? (Palgrave Macmillan 2011). Tony Blair wrote the foreword, and Dr. Cornel West referred to the book as “provocative and pioneering.”
He received his doctorate in First Amendment law from Columbia University and previously served as a resident research fellow at Harvard University.
Walker co-edited with Michael D. Waggoner the Oxford Handbook on Religion and American Education. and he coedited with Edwin J. Greenlee, Whose God Rules? Is the United States a Secular Nation or a Theolegal Democracy? (Palgrave Macmillan).
